Food records, photography and the references behind Busog.
The food.
USDA Agricultural Research Service, FoodData Central. The snapshot has 110 foods, per 100 g. USDA data is public domain / CC0. Sources: SR Legacy 2018 and Foundation Foods 2025. IDs and serving weights are preserved.
Packaged-food lookup uses Open Food Facts, whose database is licensed under ODbL, with individual contents under DbCL. OFF-derived diary records retain this attribution in the local export. They are not merged into the CC0 snapshot.
The photographs.
Every dish photo comes from Wikimedia Commons under an open license, resized and cropped to WebP at 480 and 960 pixels. Each shows the dish it illustrates; the recipe's ingredient list defines the calculated nutrition. Share-alike derivatives remain under their original compatible license.
Busog wrote its own copy. The typeface is Plus Jakarta Sans under the SIL Open Font License; icons are Lucide under ISC.
The boundaries.
The sample diary is there to show the app at work. Photo logging uses sample plates and Busog Coach is an early preview. Food data is traceable, but a record or recipe cannot measure your actual restaurant portion. Busog makes no medical or outcome claims.
