What lives on your device.
Busog keeps your food log, goals, weights, water and theme in your browser’s local storage. There are no accounts, analytics, ad trackers or cloud diary.
When Busog makes a request.
Opening the site loads its files from the host, which may keep standard access logs. Fonts and food images are served with the site. Live ingredient search sends your search text, with the public DEMO_KEY or your own key, directly to USDA. Barcode lookup sends only the digits to Open Food Facts. Your diary, weights and water never leave your device.
Photos and the coach.
Photo logging in this preview uses sample plates, so no photo is uploaded. Busog Coach answers on your device from your own diary; it makes no AI-service requests. The contact and partnership forms send nothing until Busog’s inbox opens.
Your choices.
Export everything as JSON at any time (your personal USDA key is left out). Reset starts a fresh sample diary. Clearing site data removes your diary, preferences and offline files. Browser storage is not a backup, and private browsing can limit what is kept.
Other services.
USDA and Open Food Facts have their own policies for requests sent to their APIs, and source links take you to their sites.
